About the New England Blues Society
The
New England Blues Society (NEBS) exists to create more opportunities for the
musicians and let more people know what the blues is all about. We share one
common interest -- we love the music and we want to support the future of the
blues. That in a nutshell is the mission of our nonprofit blues society.
In the spirit of mutual cooperation, members of the society work to promote those who just generally love the blues, and who play, produce and record the music. We welcome all who feel the same. We're here to help and we plan to execute that objective in several ways:
1. We want to have fun and do more things for those who love the blues. For example, the New England Blues Society sponsors
Special events in conjunction--with other blues socities
Several All-Star events throughout New England, a once in a lifetime
opportunity to see some great musicians play with other great musicians.
-- A Medical Fund for musicians who cannot afford traditional health
insurance.

2. Education and community support are cornerstones of our existence. We're reaching out and getting involved with cities and towns to help promote their own activities by becoming their musical resource. If they are considering music for their event, we want to be their first-choice option. Being proactive in schools and community youth centers is also very important.
England Blues Society has veteran educators, who have taught thousands of youngsters all over the world and who reinforce the lessons we can learn from blues in an entertaining and unique manner.
3. Through corporate, small-business, state and municipal partnerships we will continue to grow and spread the word.
